Sony BRCAM7B 4K60 PTZ Camera with AI Auto-Framing

Produce broadcast-quality remote coverage without a camera operator using the Sony BRC-AM7 4K60 PTZ Camera. A 1.0-type Exmor RS CMOS sensor with approximately 14.0 million effective pixels pairs with the BIONZ XR image-processing engine to deliver high resolution with low noise, rendering textures and materials with lifelike accuracy.

Built-in AI auto-framing, advanced subject tracking and a direct pan-and-tilt drive using newly developed motors combine to give exceptionally smooth, remarkably quiet camera operation. With 4K 60p output, a built-in variable ND filter and extensive connectivity, the BRC-AM7 suits live sport, worship, theatre and multi-camera studio production.

Built-In AI PTZ Auto Framing

Advanced AI analytics track subjects accurately with smooth, natural-looking framing. The system uses detailed human pose, head, face and clothing data to recognise subjects with high precision, automatically controlling pan, tilt and zoom to follow an athlete or presenter. Framing stays natural enough to let you work with a smaller camera crew.

Outstanding Subject Tracking

The Exmor RS sensor and BIONZ XR engine work together for improved subject detection precision and speed. Focal-plane phase-detection AF across the imaging area locks onto fast-moving subjects over a wide area, so a performer moving around a stage is reliably followed while precise focus is maintained.

Integrated 24-480mm Lens

A newly developed built-in lens offers 20x optical zoom across a 24-480mm range. Sony's Clear Image Zoom extends this to 30x (720mm) in UHD 4K and 40x in HD, giving an extraordinary range that covers wide establishing shots through to tight close-ups.

4K 60p with 5K Oversampling

UHD 4K is oversampled from 5K for maximum detail, with output up to 60p. Support for ITU709, 709tone, S-Cinetone and S-Log3 provides improved interoperability with existing Sony camera systems, so the BRC-AM7 cuts cleanly alongside your other cameras.

Built-In Variable ND Filter

An electronic variable ND filter varies seamlessly from 1/4 to 1/128, with an auto mode that maintains optimum exposure through lighting changes. Exposure can be held steady as stage lighting shifts without touching iris, shutter or gain, and without affecting depth of field.

Broad Connectivity

A 12G-SDI primary output is joined by 3G-SDI for monitoring, HDMI, and optical-fibre 12G-SDI via an SFP slot. Audio connects through a pair of 3-pin XLR connectors or a 3.5mm stereo jack. IP streaming covers NDI|HX, RTSP, RTMP and SRT, with VISCA over IP for control, plus timecode input, genlock and tally.

Flexible Power

Power the camera from a standard 4-pin XLR connector or over the network using PoE++, removing the need for additional wiring in locations without nearby power infrastructure.
