SkyWatcher Syneye 662M Monochrome Camera

The Skywatcher SynEye 662m is a compact monochrome camera built with the Sony IMX662 sensor. The 662m is designed as an Autoguiding and EAA scope first (Electronically assisted astronomy), to use alongisde an imaging setup.

The IMX662 delivers low read noise and high QE (quantum efficiency) during short exposures, suiting the fast high-frame rate capture that autoguiding requires. A dedicated auto-guiding port lets the camera talk directly to a compatible mount for closed-loop guiding. SynEye is useful for EAA where a live, stacked view of a faint target is preferable to a single eyepiece view.

ASCOM drivers keep the camera compatible with SynScan and most third party Astro software, allowing for multiple ways to control the 662c. A dedicated ST-4 Autoguide port lets the camera talk directly to to a compatible mount for closed-loop guiding. The removable IR/UV cut filter and M42/1.25inch interface makes it compatible with almost every guide scope or off-axis guider.
