SkyWatcher Syncam 585mm Monochrome Camera

The Sky-watcher Syncam 585MM is a monochrome CMOS camera designed for Planetary / Solar system imaging and deep-sky imaging. Featuring the Sony IMX585 Sensor with low read noise, no sensor glow, and a fast FPS, this camera is well suited to planetary, lunar and solar imaging using video stacking, a techniwue where hundreds of frames from a short video are combined together to produce a detailed, low-noise final image.

As a monochrome sensor, SynCam 585MM captures luminance data directly with no Bayer colour filter in front of the pixels, giving higher effective resolution and sensitivity per pixel than colour cameras of the same design. This makes it very effective at narrowband deep-sky imaging. This camera is fully compatible with the ToupTek astronomy inc. ecosystem and a wide range of third-part software.
