Increase the maximum magnification from 1:3 to 1:2, the AML72-01 Close-Up Lens from Sigma is a dedicated accessory for the 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM Contemporary lens. This close-up lens mounts to the original lens' 72mm front filter threads and increases the magnification ratio to benefit macro shooting applications. It features an apochromatic design and maintains the original lens' quality throughout the zoom range from 80mm to 300mm focal length positions.

Just by rotating the zoom ring, it enables photographers to take a close up pictures of subjects such as jewelry and flowers. Maximum magnification ratio at respective focal lengths is indicated on the lens barrel, thus it is easy to see what the object size will be at the sensor. Furthermore, in order to secure a clear field of view, the design of this lens is very thorough, even down to the precise position of the engraved letters on the lens.
