With the teleconverter activated, the lens extends to 560mm at f/5.6, or an angle of view equivalent to 840mm on a DX-format camera, providing additional reach when distant subjects move beyond the standard zoom range. Its optical construction incorporates ED and fluorite elements to help control chromatic aberration and maintain image quality, while Vibration Reduction image stabilisation supports handheld shooting and helps reduce the effects of camera shake.
