Exceptional Macro Optical Performance

Designed for FX-format Nikon F-mount cameras, this slightly longer-than-normal prime lens also works with DX-format models, where it provides a 90mm-equivalent field of view. Ideal for macro photography, it offers life-size 1:1 maximum magnification and a minimum focusing distance of just 7.3 inches, making it perfect for capturing intricate details and close-up subjects. Its advanced optical construction features two aspherical elements to minimise spherical aberrations and distortion, along with an extra-low dispersion element to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations for sharp, accurate results. Nano Crystal Coat and Super Integrated Coating help suppress reflections, flare, and ghosting, delivering improved contrast and colour fidelity in challenging lighting conditions. The Silent Wave Motor ensures fast, quiet, and precise autofocus, with full-time manual focus override for greater control. An internal focusing design maintains the lens's overall length during focusing and promotes faster operation, while the rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth, attractive bokeh for portraits and creative shallow-depth-of-field photography.
