Leofoto PG-3SL Carbon Fibre Gimbal Head

The Leofoto PG-3SL Carbon Fibre Gimbal Head is engineered for photographers who demand speed, stability, and effortless control when navigating heavy telephoto lenses. Built from Toray 100% 10-layer carbon fibre and precision-machined aluminium, the PG-3SL delivers exceptional strength-to-weight performance while maintaining the silky, fluid movement that wildlife, sports, aviation and landscape photographers require. With independent friction knobs, a precision panning base, and a newly redesigned quick-locking system, this gimbal head sets a new benchmark in professional support gear.

Designed for photographers who work with large super-telephoto lenses up to 20kg, the PG-3SL ensures perfect balance, vibration reduction and smooth tracking-whether you're capturing fast-moving subjects or slowly panning across a landscape.

The PG-3SL's frame uses Toray 100% 10-layer carbon fibre, arranged in a cross-rhombus pattern for maximum durability and vibration resistance. This premium construction significantly reduces weight without compromising strength, making it ideal for long days in the field. The carbon fibre also offers excellent thermal stability, maintaining performance in extreme temperatures.

Achieve Perfect Balance

Precision tilt adjustment

Adjustable arm and sliding platform

Laser-etched reference scales for repeatable setups

By sliding your camera's foot plate or L-bracket along the integrated Arca-Swiss clamp, you can fine-tune your centre of gravity for smooth, effortless movement. Ideal for long-range tracking, this design reduces strain on both your lens and your arms.

360° Pan Rotation

The fluid panning base rotates silently and smoothly for seamless tracking of moving subjects. Numbered degree markings allow for precise panoramic work or repeated framing setups.

Butter-Smooth Tilt Rotation

The vertical tilt axis is controlled by a large, ergonomic friction knob with constant drag design, enabling controlled, resistance-free tilting-perfect for following birds in flight or tracking fast action.

The PG-3SL introduces a newly engineered clamp lock system, built from three overlapping domes and a brass washer for extreme strength and reliability. When fully locked, the system holds up to 20kg, ensuring maximum security for heavy professional lenses.
