17MP Four Thirds CMOS Sensor

Experience impressive image quality with the D-Lux 8's pairing of its 17MP Four Thirds CMOS sensor and its bright Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 ASPH. zoom lens, which provides a full-frame equivalence of 24-75mm. With this combination, capturing sharp images and impressive 4K video feels effortless. The D-Lux 8 also allows you to choose between capturing in DNG or JPEG file formats in the aspect ratios of 16:9, 3:2, 4:3, and 1:1. You can also capture in both file types simultaneously.

Excel in Low-Light Conditions

Included with the D-Lux 8 is a compact and powerful flash unit that easily attaches via the camera's hot shoe. This compact unit enables you to capture high-quality snaps regardless of the lighting conditions you're faced with. You can also utilise this flash for capturing with a second curtain sync, which leads to experimental and interesting effects in your photography.

Seamless Workflow with the Leica FOTOS App

Get the most out of your D-Lux 8 by connecting to the Leica FOTOS app. Enjoy a plethora of conveniences including remote control of optical zoom, access to firmware updates, and utilisation of the self-timer. Some improvements to the app include enhanced geotagging, simplified FOTOS menu, faster connection from the app to the camera, and the ability to star your favourite photos and videos.
