Konus 9x63 Proximo Binoculars

Konus 9x63 Proximo Binoculars

Konus's 9x63 Proximo Binoculars feature a relatively low magnification coupled with BAK4 roof prisms and large anti-reflection multicoated objectives to create an optic with excellent light-gathering abilities and a generous wide-angle field of view. The exceptionally large objectives make the Proximo ideally suited for wide-field astronomical observations or terrestrial glassing especially at dawn and dusk when animals tend to be most active but the light is limited.

The housing is made of lightweight and durable PVC polymer with rubber armour to protect against impacts while providing a slip-resistant grip. In addition to making the overall weight lighter, the PVC is also temperature resistant. This resistance minimizes excessive expansion and contraction due to fluctuations in temperatures which can cause the various optical components to move out of collimation causing images to be fuzzy and virtually impossible to sharply focus. Because of their size and weight, prolonged periods of observation may cause fatigue, so they can be mounted on a tripod or other support systems with optional adapters.
