Overview

Konus 8x42 Woodland Binoculars

Outfitted with a magnification and objective size that has long been a favourite of birdwatchers, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts, the Konus 8x42 Woodland Binocular utilizes a moderately low magnification and larger objectives to maintain a wider field of view and exit pupil versus higher-power optics and creates a more immersive observational experience. The compact BAK4 roof prisms ensure that the optic tubes fit comfortably in your hands, while anti-reflection multicoated optics maximize light transmission for bright and clear high-contrast views with accurate colour representation. A large centre focus wheel and right-eye dioptric correction allow you to achieve a sharp focus, whether you have perfect vision or wear corrective lenses.

The chassis is wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armour with raised, textured palm pads to add grip security and stability in cold weather—even when wearing gloves. For long hours looking through the eyepiece out in the field or on a patio, you can tripod mount them with an optional adapter and enjoy the view hands-free. These design and optical features make this binocular an ideal choice for everyone from hikers and hunters to sightseers and tourists to outdoor enthusiasts and sports spectators.

Optical Performance

8x magnification brings objects in close for observation while preserving a comfortable exit pupil

42mm objective lenses boost light-gathering ability versus compact models for improved low-light performance without the bulk of larger objectives

BAK4 prisms deliver a round exit pupil and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortion

Anti-reflection multi-coated optics produce neutral and accurate colour representation and improve contrast and image brightness

315-foot field of view at 1000 yards

Use and Handling

Closed-bridge configuration

Large textured centre focusing wheel is easy to manipulate even when wearing gloves

Right-eye dioptric correction enables optical systems to be customized to specific eye prescriptions for use without corrective lenses

Wide 4.2mm exit pupil will completely cover pupils as they open and dilate in low-light to keep the entire scene in view without vignetting
