The Ranger RX Quadra AS is a compact portable 400 Ws battery flash system for studio and outdoor use. A perfect battery flash system for anybody who likes un-plugged (not connected to the mains) photography. The RQ System offers "Action Freezing" flash duration with fast flash recycling time and also unplugged (wireless) trigger and remote options with the EL-Skyport Transmitter or with MAC™ or WIN™ computer.

The RX Quadra AS has a range of 6.6 fstops so you can have the power of 400Ws right down to 8.2Ws thanks to its two asymmetric outlets with 2:1 power ratio: high-powered channel A (25-400ws); and super-fast flash channel B (8.2-133ws) that syncs up to 1/6000s! It recycles in 2.2s at full power; or at 33% power it will recycle as fast as 0.25s (channel B).

The 12V / 3.6Ah Gel-Electrolyte Battery has no memory effect, can be topped up at any charger level, and charges in around 2 hours. It also features an LED modelling lamp that has very low power drain and can also double as a continuous daylight-balanced video light!

There are a range of modifiers and accessories available for the Ranger Quadra system such as extra batteries, packs, flash heads, cables, RQ Portalite softboxes, EL-umbrellas with 7mm shaft (up to 105cm), reflectors and grids, RQ Multifunction Cap with diffuser and gel holder, and the new RQ Ringflash. Or purchase an RQ-EL Reflector Adapter that will support larger EL reflectors and Rotalux softboxes on Ranger Quadra heads.
