It's easy to get overwhelmed when starting your filmmaking journey: complex jargon to cut through, gatekeeping forums telling you anything less than an ARRI ALEXA is amateur, and seemingly simple questions always have complicated answers. The OpenRig changes all that: buy it once, and be set for life. The universal design fits to any camera setup, and the ever-expanding range of accessories mean that your camera rig can grow with you - wherever your journey takes you.

Any Camera, Anywhere

We've all had that one rig that we're not proud of: not having the correct mount so resorting to just a bit of Velcro - or God forbid, gaffer tape. With the OpenRig, you'll never have that problem again. The dual NATO rails give you a range of quick-release rigging options that can be retrofitted with any accessory you can imagine. The castle-wall-style grooves engage as safety stops, for accurate positioning along the rail.

Take a Weight Off

Your camera is likely one of the most expensive things you own - or rent, as the case may be. Yet rigging to the camera body risks stripping out screw threads, scratching the casing, or even damaging the internal components. The OpenRig takes the strain instead: mount to the Rail instead of the rig, keeping your most precious parts protected. If you need side or top-mounted accessories, why not add our new and improved Halo to your OpenRig setup?

Seamless Setups

Whether you're fixed on sticks or perfecting your ninja-walk, the OpenRig can give you an assist. The base of the Rail can mount directly to Manfrotto tripods and DJI RS gimbals - with a spring-loaded gear rack to help balance on gimbals like the RS 4. If you're wanting something even more straightforward, use the bolt-on screw threads to fix your OpenRig in place - then quick-release the rest of your gear as needed.

Get it in One

From Camera Trainee to DOP, the learning curve is a steep one. The OpenRig system is designed to help: learn one system, once. So whether you're working with a Sony Alpha on a gig for exposure or an ARRI ALEXA on a star-studded call sheet, the OpenRig will make rigging easier. That means that you, your camera team, and even that one Producer who is "interested in camera stuff" can all be on the same page.

Part of the OpenRig System

Make rigging easier. With the OpenRig system from Bright Tangerine, you can learn one system, once - but have endless possibilities. Whether you need a run-and-gun rig for a documentary or a full cine build, the OpenRig system has the solution.
