Lensbaby Omni Small Filter System for 49-58mm Filter Size
Lensbaby is known for producing unique and special optical effects, and with the OMNI Creative Filter System, they have created a fun and practical way to shoot through objects in order to create colorful flare, reflections, and bright, ethereal light streaks. Differing from a creative lens, the OMNI system is a method for placing objects, such as crystals, films, and other translucent substrates, in front of your lens to produce distinct effects. Additionally, by having these objects attached to the front of your lens, instead of hand-holding them, you can achieve more repeatable and predictable results.
This Small system is designed for lenses with filter threads ranging from 49-58mm, and comprises a filter ring with a 58mm thread, along with step-up rings for 55mm, 52mm, and 49mm sizes. Included with the ring are three Effect Wands (Crystal Seahorse, Stretch Glass, and Rainbow Film), along with two arms for holding the objects and two magnets for securing the arms to the filter ring.
Effect Wands
- The Crystal Seahorse is a unique, organic-shaped crystal with a multitude of angles and edge scallops to produce complex flare, light redirection, and bright and colorful reflections.
- The Stretch Glass has a large planar surface area that helps to create bright stretches and streaks of light over the image. Shooting through the flat and curved sides yields a controllable streaky quality while shooting through the glass at an angle can produce colorful, reflective, and luminous results.
- The Rainbow Film diffracts light and produces beaming rainbows from any bright light source.
Mounting System
- Included filter ring has 58mm threads for attaching directly to a lens, or 49mm, 52mm, and 55mm step-up rings are also included for attaching to smaller filter thread sizes.
- Magnetic mounting system allows for flexible positioning of the Wands anywhere around the front of the lens
- Two magnetic mounts are included to hold the Effect Wands in place on the filter ring. Each mount can hold up to two Wands at once.
- Both a long arm and a short arm are included for more flexible positioning of the Wands.
- A sleek carrying case holds and protects the entire OMNI Creative Filter System when not in use.
