Overview

This Light Dome SE from Aputure is a 16-sided modifier with a 35.5" diameter. It has a soft wraparound quality that is a hallmark of this shape, especially when used close to the subject. It also has a few surprises that offer you several contrast options. The 1.5 and 2.5-stop front diffusion fabrics offer ways to manipulate the light. Also, a removable 1.5-stop internal baffle softens the initial point source of light and allows it to fill the entire softbox more evenly. The 45° fabric grid provides directional control to enable selective lighting. The Light Dome SE has a Bowens-type speed ring compatible with lights such as the Amaran 100d, 100x, 200d, & 200x, Aputure LS 600d Pro, 300d II, 300x, and the 120d II, as well as many other lights that use this popular mount.
