Samyang 8mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for Sony E-Mount

Samyang 8mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for CSCs

The Samyang 8mm f/2.8 ultra-wide angle fisheye lens is designed specifically for mirrorless cameras. Its ultra-wide 180 degree field of view is great for distorting perspective and is commonly used to exaggerate amplitude in action sports photography or to simply achieve a unique and creative composition.

A multi layered anti-reflective coating increases optical clarity and image contrast while providing a smudge resistant, easy to clean front element.

Similar to early film cameras, the Samyang requires manual focusing and aperture adjustment. Thankfully, the smooth action of the focus ring and 1/2EV increments of the aperture ring make finding correct focus and exposure a breeze. Despite these two omissions, the build and optical quality of the lens is exceptional.

Made from a combination of metal and high quality plastics, the lens features 10 glass elements in 8 roups including one aspherical and two Extra-low dispersion (ED) elements. With outstanding centre sharpness and colour rendition, the Samyang 8mm f/2.8 ultra-wide angle fisheye lens represents excellent value for money.
