Canon Cinema EU-V1 Extension Unit
Canon's EU-V1 Expansion Unit 1 mounts onto your C500 Mark II camera and provides increased connectivity, expanding the capabilities of the camera for remote operation as well as live video production. The expansion unit adds three ports: Genlock/Sync Out, Remote B (RS-422), and Ethernet. The Genlock/Sync Out port accepts a genlock signal that slaves your camera to the same time base as the other equipment receiving the genlock signal.
Sync Out allows your camera to feed other live production equipment to sync to your camera. The Remote B port allows you to control your camera using RS-422 protocol, while the Ethernet port allows you to connect your camera to a LAN for control and live streaming applications. The ports have rubber covers to protect the connectors from dust intrusion when not in use.
