For use, the ColorReader is connected to mobile devices via Bluetooth and the ColorReader app, and the app can be customised for professional applications through an SDK, allowing you to add personalised branding, authorise specific fan decks, and register users using the cloud-based ColorReader Fleet Management software. The app also helps to promote paint sales, with the ability to complete orders through the app, and for more creative use for architects, designers, and other technical users, colour information can be output in CIELAB, RGB, CMYK, HEX, or Delta E values. Additionally, the device has a built-in LiPo battery, which provides more than 300 measurements per charge, and it can be charged using the micro-USB port.
