Optional accessories allow you to turn the leveling base into a Hi-Hat to get remarkably low angle shots with the AirHed Cine.

3 Legged Thing Mike Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs with Quick Leveling Base (Metallic Slate Gray)

The metallic slate gray 3 Legged Thing Mike Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs with Quick Leveling Base is part of the Legends range and is for flat-base tripod heads with either a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole. It is a carbon fiber leveling-base tripod, with friction control on the underside to finely adjust the position of the leveling base. The 3-section removable legs have a height range of 5.3 to 58.1" and are made from eight layers of carbon fiber and feature twist-lock leg locks with an improved shim system for greater strength.

The Rapid-Latch Angle adjustment system allows you to quickly set the angle of each leg independently, even when wearing gloves. All three legs are detachable, allowing you to use the quick leveling system, with optional accessories, as the base for a high hat for low-angle shots, or for working on a tabletop setup. Each detached leg can be used as a monopod or as a boom arm.

Detachable Legs

With three detachable legs, the Mike tripod can be converted to a tabletop tripod by using optional 3LT footwear, and the legs can be used as monopods or boom arms.

Leveling Base with Friction Adjustment

The leveling base incorporates a bubble level and allows you to quickly level your head on the tripod, even when working on uneven terrain. A D-ring on the bottom of the base enables attaching a weight to the legs for increased stability and also allows you to adjust the friction on the leveling base.

Rapid-Latch

The Rapid-Latch angle adjustment system was designed to be easy to use, even for those with impairments or those wearing thick gloves.

Leg Locks

The twist-lock leg locks feature 3 Legged Thing's O-Pads, which provide improved grip, torque, and water dispersal.

Replaceable Feet

Detachable rubber "Bootz" can be replaced with a variety of foot accessories for maximum stability on any terrain.

3 Legged Thing AirHed Cine-A with Arca-Swiss Compatible Video Plate

The compact, yet robust, 3 Legged Thing AirHed Cine-A with Arca-Swiss Compatible Video Plate weighs less than 1.25 pounds and can support cameras and rigs weighing up to 22 pounds. The head has a fixed fluid drag system and fixed counterbalance, with 165° of tilt and 360° of pan rotation for smooth camera moves. There are separate pan and tilt lock levers for locked-off shots, and the pan axis is indexed for repeatability.

The included plate features both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera tie-down screws3.54. The AirHed Cine-A accepts Arca-Swiss compatible quick release plates, making it easy to find spares or replacements. The integrated bubble levels aid in setting up level horizons. The adjustable pan handle can be mounted onto either side of the video head using the built-in ARRI-compatible rosettes. The AirHed Cine-A can be mounted on ball adapters, tripods, and other camera supports via the 3/8"-16 threaded female receiver on the magnesium alloy flat base.
