The Li-ion can retain more energy than the Ni-CD and Ni-MH, is less likely to drain, is more environmentally friendly and has a longer lifespan. However, this type of battery is very fragile. As a precaution, this battery is usually attached to the device. The successor of the Li-ion is the Li-Polymer. It can give off even more energy than its predecessor. In addition, this battery has an even smaller degree of self-discharge and is quickly charged.
