9.2 Megapixel Photos & Time-Lapse

High quality 9.2 Megapixel Photos can be shot when you want to freeze moment in time. Time-lapse shooting is also available to help satisfy your creative needs. Capture still images continuously over an extensive period of time at a selected constant interval then edit and enjoy playback of that series of images as a unique time-lapse movie.

30x Zoom Lens

The impressive 30x zoom lens delivers a 35mm equivalent of 26.8-804mm, allowing you to shoot wide-angle and up-close style footage. The lens delivers exceptional versatility, equipping you with the ability to shoot a wide variety of subjects. Record your most memorable moments at weddings, family gatherings, school ceremonies, concerts, sports events and even capture wildlife in remote areas.

The bright f/1.8 maximum aperture is combined with an amazing approximate 1cm minimum focus distance to ensure all your images in are razor sharp and in clear focus.

5-Axis Optical Stabilization

Equipped with an Optical Steady Shot image stabiliser, the CX625 uses a sensor shift mechanism which can move along 5-axis to minimise the effects of camera shake. The result is beautifully smooth results, even when recording while walking or shooting from a moving object such as a car or boat.

Bionz Image Processor

The Bionz Image processor delivers fast capture rates of 60p at Full High Definition. Working in conjunction with the Back-Illuminated CMOS sensor, it is able to reproduce colours faithfully enrich your movie's potential. Additionally, videos can be recorded simultaneously in the two different formats including XAVCS and AVCHD, delivering the versatility to have one file for editing and one for easy sharing or upload to YouTube or your favourite social networks.

5.1 Channel Audio

A microphone built into the camera can record sound in 5.1 channels delivering an encompassing soundscape for your video clips. My Voice Cancelling is an intelligent feature which helps you distinguish your voice from your subject's voice and selectively suppress yours to ensure optimum audio clarity. Built-in auto wind noise makes shooting in windy conditions simple, while microphone levels can be visually monitored and adjusted accordingly to help further stifle unwanted external noise.

In Camera Editing

The Highlight Movie Maker software is an on-board program which helps you select multiple movie clips and combine them with music and transition effects to create a unique, polished presentation. The program can automatically select scenes with smiling faces, and effect such as zoom-in can be used together for the final output.

One Touch Operation through Mobile Devices

One-touch remote lets you use your smartphone or tablet as a viewfinder and remote control for the camcorder. One-touch sharing lets you transfer your photos and videos from your camera to your smart device for easy sharing on your favourite social media platforms.

3-inch LCD Screen

The large 3-inch flip-out LCD touch screen on the Sony CX-625 delivers intuitive menu navigation comfortable shooting position, even when shooting from extreme high and low angles. Its manual brightness control is perfect for a wide range of lightning conditions, ensuring your compositions are always accurate.
