The professional quality Sony ECM-CG60 Shotgun Microphone is an electret- condenser, monaural shotgun microphone suitable for cameras using a 3.5mm audio jack. The compact and lightweight microphone can capture targeted audio and clear dialogue with its directional pickup and noise reduction capabilities, making it ideal for shooting movies and home videos with compact cameras, camcorders and interchangeable-lens cameras.

Super cardioid Polar Pattern

The microphone features a super cardioid polar pattern that reduces the ambient noise pickup while focussing on sounds in a narrow range direct in front of the camera.

Low Cut Filter

The ECM-CG60has a switch for selecting between LOW CUTfor effectively blocking unwanted low frequencies to minimise windnoise, and NORM Mode for picking up natural sound within low-to-high tone ranges.

Superior Audio Pickup

Equipped with vibration is olators on the mounting holder to supress distracting mechanical noises from the camera and lens, the CG60 delivers much better quality audio than your camera’s built-in microphone.

Wide Camera Compatibility

The microphone mounts directly to your camera or camcorder's standard accessory shoe with the included shoe adapter. A gold coated 3.5mm L shaped stereo mini plug allows connecting the mic to the camera’s audio input jack.

Dual Power Options

For long outdoor shooting, the Sony ECM-CG60 Shotgun Microphone can be powered either through one AAA alkaline battery or by the camera's battery via the Mic input jack (plug-in power).
