Where the old adapter replaced the eyepiece, therefore effectively making the APO-Televid into a fixed-focal length telephoto lens, this new objective lens mounts over the eyepiece so users can quickly remove it to make observations and easily re-install it to capture photos. This mounting also allows users to zoom in on subjects using the eyepiece therefore maintaining the spotter's versatility even while digiscoping.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe adapter is machined to fit Leica's 25-50x 82mm \u0026amp; 65mm APO-Televid spotting scopes and has been optimised for use with 20-APS-C cameras, where it will remain vignette-free through the entire zoom range. While the adapter is compatible with full-frame sensors, images may experience vignetting at certain magnifications. To minimise light-loss and ensure true colour fidelity and high-contrast, Leica utilises extra low-dispersion (ED) glass elements and fully multi-coats them with proprietary anti-reflection coatings.
