Nikon Forestry Pro II Laser Range Finder

Nikon Forestry Pro II Laser Range Finder

Meet the Nikon Laser Forestry Pro II Laser Range Finder - measuring faster and further. The Nikon Laser Forestry Pro II Laser Range Finder is an evolved model of the current Forestry Pro which has been highly acclaimed as a simple surveying instrument for forestry. Inheriting functions useful for simple measurement that the existing model employs such as actual distance, horizontal distance, height, angle and vertical separation (difference in height between two targets) measurement functions, and three-point measurement (height between two points), the Forestry Pro II extends the maximum measurement range with improved accuracy of measured results, as evolved points. Also, the measurement response time until results are displayed has been shortened. This new model achieves measurement of longer distances than the original Forestry Pro while providing a more accurate and faster response.

The external display has a higher pixel count making it easier to view than the previous model. Backlighting is newly employed so that the display can be viewed easily even in dark situations, such as for forestry. There are three levels of backlight brightness that can be adjusted according to the light conditions.

In addition, a log function is employed for storing up to 250 measurement results. This log can be referred to on the external display, for more convenient use.

Faster And More Accurate Measurement

Forestry Pro II makes land surveys easier and more accurate. With a powerful distance range from 7.5-1,600 m and measuring height too, it's got it all covered. Measurements include actual distance, horizontal distance, height, angle and vertical separation - the difference in height between two subjects. Two point-measurement is used when the base of your subject is visible, while three-point measurement gives an accurate assessment even if the base and/or top of the object is hidden. HYPER READ offers quick and stable readings across the full measurement range and the results are instantaneous - seen on the internal display in approximately 0.3 seconds.

Larger External Display, Backlit For Easy Viewing

You won't just see your measurement results on the internal display as you're looking at your target - they'll appear on the 5.3 cm (2.1 in.) backlit external display too, making it easier to take note of your findings. The new display is significantly larger than the previous 4.3 cm (1.7 in.) model and now has three levels of backlight brightness, adjustable to make results visible in even the darkest of forests.

Keep A Log List As You Go

You can store up to 250 measurements on the Forestry Pro II, shown on the backlit external display. This new log function records your measurements in numerical order, so you can go back and check them at any time. There's no need to stop and take notes when the Forestry Pro II is recording measurements for you, so you can cover more ground in less time.

Switch Targets At The Touch Of A Button

The Target Priority Switch System takes all the guesswork out of which target you're actually measuring. Choose First Target Priority Mode to measure the distance to the closest of a group of subjects - an easy way to pick out a subject from an overlapping background. If it's the furthest subject you need to measure, then choose Distant Target Priority Mode, which makes target selection simple in wooded areas.

Portable, Comfortable And Robust

You'll always get bright and clear images with the high-quality 6x monocular with multilayer coating, while dioptre adjustment and long eye relief give comfortable and easy viewing - even if you're wearing glasses. Durability is guaranteed with a compact and lightweight body that's waterproof up to 1m/3.3 ft for 10 minutes. The Forestry Pro II is built to withstand all the challenging weather conditions you'll encounter when you're working outdoors.

Uses cases for a Laser Ranger finder such as the Nikon Forestry Pro II

Laser Rangefinders can have many uses whenever you need fast and accurate distance readings. A couple of examples of areas where the Nikon Forestry Pro II can be used includes:

Real Estate

The Nikon Laser Forestry Pro II Laser Range Finder gives the realtor and the buyer a handy way to calculate the size of the property. They can measure the lengths of the boundaries much more accurately.

These can also be used to measure rooms and spaces, so they can calculate the size of furniture and appliances that can fit into the available space. Carpets and flooring can also be estimated more accurately when you're aware of the floor sizes you're working with.

Fire Safety

A laser rangefinder than be helpful in a bush clearing to reduce the bushfire risk near your property by clearing vegetation back to a safer distance creating Asset Protection Zones. Asset Protection Zones (APZ) are fuel-reduced areas surrounding an asset of value (residential, commercial, industrial or environmental), reducing the impact of a bushfire on that asset, and allowing access to emergency vehicles. Asset Protection Zones are essential for properties within bushfire prone areas.

Mining

You need accurate measurements for blasting so that you can achieve optimal mine productivity and worker safety. Traditional methods of obtaining such measurements are no longer acceptable with the advent of laser rangefinders.

Airports

Using a laser rangefinder, you can conveniently check and measure any issue with your runway safety area and taxiway safety area. You can check the slope and height of your radio and lighting facilities.

You can find out the distance between two objects along your runway. Basically, inspecting an airfield becomes a whole lot easier with a rangefinder.

Construction

The Nikon Laser Forestry Pro II offers a safe and accurate way to gauge distance in the construction industry. You can quickly spot check for potential obstructions and confirm overhang clearances.

Golf

Many local tournaments allow for the use of laser rangefinders, as long as you make sure you only use the feature to measure distances from your target. In golf, knowing the distance to the target assists you in choosing the right club on your next swing.

Hunting

Laser rangefinders can really help you make more accurate rifle shots. That's because you can zero in on your target much better when you know their precise distance to you.
