Aputure Accent B7C RGBWW E26/27 LED Bulb

Aputure Accent B7C RGBWW E26/27 LED Bulb

The Accent B7c is an RGBWW colour mixing LED light bulb, and is the first product in Aputure’s new Accent line of practical LED fixtures. Using the same colour mixing technology as the Nova P300c, the B7c boasts the same 2,000K-10,000K colour temperature, and professional level colour reproduction, with the ability to achieve an SSI score as high as 85 in tungsten. The B7c utilizes a 7W LED output to create a 50W household tungsten light bulb equivalent. The Accent B7c is the first colour mixing smart bulb to utilize a built-in battery, allowing it to run for over 70 minutes at maximum output, making it suitable for an immense number of use cases. To enhance your on-set workflow, the B7c is also the first smart bulb to include onboard control buttons, making toggling between CCT presets and adjusting brightness incredibly simple. And with Sidus Link Bluetooth App compatibility, users can easily control multiple B7c bulbs from a smartphone or iPad, unlocking the B7c’s fine-tunable colour and programmable FX capabilities.

Your New Favorite Lamp Light

The B7c features a standard E26/27 lamp socket screw connector making it compatible with a wide variety of lamps anywhere in the world. Its light bulb form factor allows users to more easily integrate programmable colour-mixing practical lighting into your scenes.

Match Any White Light

As a practical bulb, white light reproduction is imperative to create a well-functioning film light. With the unique blend of white light and RGB LEDs in its chipset, the Accent B7c matches the colour temperature range of Aputure’s most advanced colour mixing light, the Nova P300c. The B7c can produce an immensely wide colour temperature range of 2,000K to 10,000K, providing you with the ability to craft images that mimic a variety of light sources, with Sidus Link presets including Tungsten Filament Lamp, 5600K HMI, High-Pressure Sodium Lamp, Warm White Halogen, and more. Sidus Link also takes the B7c’s matching abilities to another level with the SourceMatch feature, which allows you to capture the CCT of a white light source with your phone and transmit it to the bulb, precisely matching your ambient light. The ability to quickly craft and modify a white light source is essential to operating efficiently in any filmmaking environment, and the Accent B7c grants you that.

Colour Quality You Can Trust

Unlike typical household LED bulbs, the Accent B7c uses cinema-grade LEDs designed to reproduce immaculate skin tones on camera. Using the same LED technology as the Nova P300c, Aputure’s professional colour-mixing panel light, the B7c is capable of producing impeccable CRI and TLCI values of 95+ — even with a colour temperature range of 2,000 to 10,000 Kelvin. The B7c also uses that same technology to output professional, high-quality spectral fingerprints that even outmatch industry-standard lights, with a tungsten SSI of 85.

Full-Color Tunability

The Accent B7c is not only capable of reproducing a wide range of white light, it is also a colour-mixing light fixture, able to produce saturated colours. Utilizing Aputure’s unique RGBWW LED configuration, the B7c bulb is able to produce over 90% of the saturated colours in the Rec.2020 colour space, putting it on par with industry-standard lighting instruments. Using the Sidus Link App, filmmakers can utilize HSI controls to fine-tune saturated colour output, or even use the ColorPicker function to use their smartphone’s camera to capture colour swatches and transmit them to the B7c.

Flicker-Free Filmmaking

The Accent B7c like all Aputure products is a light that is made with filmmakers in mind. And as such, unlike consumer LED smart bulbs, the B7c uses high-end dimming technology to allow for flicker-free step-less dimming with no colour shift. As a filmmaker, having flicker-free light fixtures should be the standard. Whereas other bulbs might flicker when any dimming occurs, or when shooting at high frame rates, the B7c features 20KHz step-less dimming that remains completely flicker-free up to at least 1,000fps, while maintaining impeccable colour quality.

Built-in Battery

In addition to its many other professional features, the B7c is also the first bulb designed for filmmakers to have a built-in battery. The B7c’s internal battery can last for over 70 minutes at full power and over 20 hours as it approaches minimum brightness. This unique feature allows you to be incredibly flexible with your lighting and production design. You can place a new sconce into a scene without having to rewire any circuits, or even use a lamp in during a power outage or in a location without easy electrical accessibility, all without the need for a noisy generator. The built-in battery in the B7c allows filmmakers to take practical lighting into uncharted territory.

AC/DC Power Modes

The B7c’s unique internal battery also allows the B7c to have features that no other multi-colour practical bulbs have: AC & DC power modes.

In Standard (AC) power mode the B7c acts as a normal light bulb. You can turn it on or off simply by connecting it to or disconnecting it from power. This means that an actor can realistically interact with any lamp the B7c is in without requiring another operator to control the light remotely. Simply turn on and off the light like any other lamp, and the bulb will retain its last settings, making sure your scene and actor feel as natural as possible.

In Battery (DC) power mode, the B7c will default to its internal rechargeable lithium battery when not connected to any AC power. Whether you lose power in the middle of a shoot, or you need light where no power is available, the B7c will continue to light the way.

Onboard Control Buttons

As a film lighting fixture, both speed and ease of use are critical for last-second adjustments on set. That is why the Accent B7c is the only LED smart bulb on the market to feature onboard buttons for both brightness and CCT control. Not only does the B7c feature a power button, but it also uses “+” and “–” buttons so users can toggle between several brightness and CCT presets, allowing you to quickly place a light and adjust it without even connecting it to the Sidus Link app.

The simplicity of the buttons also grants users the ability to change modes, and check the status of the bulb with a few simple button combinations and no menus.

Premium Construction

Using an aluminium metal structure and a unique toroidal diffusion design, the B7c spreads lights evenly while also maintaining absolute stealth on-camera. The B7c’s aluminium shell allows the light to be completely passively cooled, meaning there are no fans. The toroidal diffusion also serves dual purposes as it allows the bulb to regulate its internal temperature, and maintains a 160° wide beam angle.

Sidus Link Control

In addition to the onboard control interface, the B7c uses built-in Sidus Mesh technology to join Aputure’s ecosystem, making it wirelessly controllable from your smartphone or iPad using the Sidus Link app. The Sidus Link app unlocks an enormous range of functionality within the B7c bulb, allowing filmmakers to fine-tune CCT, brightness, colour, and FX with a few simple swipes. But the feature-set goes further allowing users to capture CCT or HSI settings using their smartphone’s cameras with the SourceMatch and ColorPicker modes, allowing the B7c output colour to match nearly anything.

Through Sidus Link, the Accent B7c has access to 9 different lighting FX, just like the Aputure MC, including Paparazzi, Fireworks, Faulty Bulb, Lightning, TV, Party, Pulsing, Cop Car, and Fire. Because the B7c is a colour-mixing LED, many of these effects have several adjustable parameters, allowing users to create some truly unique effects.

SidusPro‚Ñ¢ FX

In addition, the B7c natively supports the SidusPro‚Ñ¢ FX feature set, including Picker FX, Manual FX, and Magic Program. With Picker FX, users can use their smartphone camera to capture an effect or lighting pattern and upload that effect to the B7c to recall it later. Manual FX allows users to create completely unique lighting effects from scratch by adjusting more than 30 different parameters. With these two new FX creation methods, users will have an infinite number of unique FX possibilities.

Magic Program takes lighting control to an even higher level, bringing DMX-like programmable control to the Sidus Link mobile app without any additional hardware. With Magic Program, users can design up to 10-minute long sequences of lighting effects, chases, and transitions with Sidus Link’s node timeline and matrix keyboard, truly unlocking unlimited creative control.
