For working with the daylight-balanced film under tungsten-lit conditions, this 77mm 80B colour Conversion Filter from Hoya is a cooling filter used to increase the colour temperature from 3400K to 5500K. The blue colour of the filter has a filter factor of 3x, requiring an additional 1.6 stops of exposure to achieve normal results.

The filter is constructed from optical glass and has a six-layer HMC coating to reduce surface reflections and glare to retain high image accuracy, clarity, and contrast. It is mounted within a durable, lightweight aluminium ring, which has a hard-anodized finish to guard against wear.

The Hoya Multi-Coating (HMC) uses a six-layer, three-per-side, design that helps to noticeably reduce surface reflections and glare for improved contrast and image fidelity.

The aluminium filter ring is both lightweight and durable and features a hard-anodized finish to guard against scratching and wear.
