3 Legged Thing Legends Nicky 4-Section Carbon Fiber Hybrid Video/Photo Tripod

3 Legged Thing Legends Nicky 4-Section Carbon Fiber Hybrid Video/Photo Tripod

The 3 Legged Thing Legends Nicky 4-Section Carbon Fiber Hybrid Video/Photo Tripod performs equally as well as a still tripod as it does a video tripod thanks to its interchangeable flat tripod head plate and 75mm bowl options. The flat plate features a 3/8" stud that will accept most tripod heads and a hook for adding a weight for increased stability. The 75mm bowl can receive any 75mm bowl or half-bowl set.

Engineered to support DSLRs and larger video cameras, it reaches a maximum height of 156cm, a minimum height of 10.6cm, and can support up to 60kg, yet weighs only 2.4kg, giving it an impressive 25:1 load-to-weight ratio. The Nicky features not one but three detachable legs which can be used as monopods or boom arms. With all three legs removed, it can also be used as a table-top tripod by adding a set of 3 Legged Thing's tripod footwear, available separately.

The 3-Legged Thing Nicky tripod is constructed from eight layers of carbon fiber and features 3LT's new design of leg and column locks and is finished in a metallic slate gray tone with British racing green accents. The twist locks have been engineered with a new design of Chicken Lips shims, which give them greater strength and grip, and they feature new rubber O-pads for improved grip and leverage. The durable anodized metal leg rapid latches allow changing the leg angles quickly and easily, even when wearing gloves. Additionally, the Nicky folds down to 59cm for storage and transport.

Features:

Bowl and flat plate options

1/4"-20 thread for mounting accessories on leg canopy

Rapid Latch leg latch system

Independent leg spread: 23,55, and 80°

Three detachable legs can be used as monopods or boom arms

Dual 1/4"-20 & 3/8"-16 screw foot, multiple accessory options available separately

Table top or low-level tripod function with 3LT footwear, available separately

Precision engineered leg lock system with raised O-Pads for improved grip

Rapid Latch

3 Legged Thing's Rapid Latch was designed to overcome issues for photographers with disabilities, and to enable easy use when wearing thick gloves.

O-Pads

The O-Pads are ring-shaped rubber pads inset with a high grip bubble pattern. This combination provides better water displacement and the best grip of any 3 Legged Thing tripod.

Table Top Conversion

A standard feature of all Legends Range 3 Legged Thing tripods is that all three legs are detachable. This enables you to convert a full-size tripod into a table-top or make for an extremely low level tripod unlocking unique perspectives.
