3 Legged Thing Jay Carbon Fiber Tripod with Quick Leveling Base & AirHed Cine-A Fluid Head System

3 Legged Thing Jay Carbon Fiber Tripod with Quick Leveling Base & AirHed Cine-A Fluid Head System

The 3 Legged Thing Jay Carbon Fiber Tripod with Quick Leveling Base and AirHed Cine-A Fluid Head System includes the 3 Legged Thing Jay 5-section carbon fibre tripod legs and AirHed Cine-A fluid head, which features an Arca-Swiss compatible sliding baseplate. The flat base head features fixed pan and tilt drag and fits on top of the tripod legs with a levelling base that has integrated fluid drag adjustments. The system has a height range of 7.72 to 47.56" and supports up to 22 pounds of camera and camera rig.

This combination allows you to quickly compensate for uneven surfaces using the tripod legs levelling base. The system features a total of 3 bubble levels, and the flat base of the AirHed allows the fluid head to sit lower than if it were a bowl base fluid head when mounted on other platforms such as sliders and car mounts. The Jay tripod legs feature eight-layer carbon fibre construction and each leg can detach from the levelling base to be used as a monopod or boom arm. Optional accessories allow you to turn the levelling base into a Hi-Hat to get remarkably low angle shots with the AirHed Cine.

3 Legged Thing Jay Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod Legs with Quick Leveling Base

The 3 Legged Thing Jay Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod Legs with Quick Leveling Base is part of the Legends range and is for flat-base tripod heads with either a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole. It is a carbon fibre levelling-base tripod, with friction control on the underside to finely adjust the position of the levelling base. The 5-section removable legs have a height range of 3.94 to 43.78" and are made from eight layers of carbon fibre and feature twist-lock leg locks with an improved shim system for greater strength.

The Rapid-Latch Angle adjustment system allows you to quickly set the angle of each leg independently, even when wearing gloves. All three legs are detachable, allowing you to use the quick levelling system, with optional accessories, as the base for a high hat for low angle shots, or for working on a tabletop setup. Each detached leg can be used as a monopod or as a boom arm.

Detachable Legs

With three detachable legs, the Jay tripod can be converted to a tabletop tripod by using optional 3LT footwear, and the legs can be used as monopods or boom arms.

Levelling Base with Friction adjustment

The levelling base incorporates a bubble level and allows you to quickly level your head on the tripod, even when working on uneven terrain. A D-ring on the bottom of the base enables attaching the weight to the legs for increased stability and also allows you to adjust the friction on the levelling base.

Rapid-Latch

The Rapid-Latch angle adjustment system was designed to be easy to use, even for those with impairments or those wearing thick gloves.

Leg Locks

The twist-lock leg locks feature 3 Legged Thing's O-Pads, which provide improved grip, torque, and water displacement.

Replaceable Feet

Detachable rubber "Bootz" can be replaced with a variety of foot accessories for maximum stability on any terrain.

Building a bubble level into the top of the head, the camera platform enables you to confirm that the tilt angle has levelled the camera on the head. The pan axis is indexed with markings from 0 to 180 on each side of the base.

The AirHed Cine-A's Arca-Swiss compatible mounting plate is made from anodized magnesium alloy and includes movable tie-down screws, The top of the plate features rubberized pads to keep your camera from twisting on the plate. The sliding balance plate features a sliding range of 3.54".
