Sony has continued its Translucent Mirror Technology in the design of the a77 (SLT-A77). Like other models in this range, this camera is ideal for fast paced environments such as sports matches and photographing children due to its fast, continuous autofocus.

Released as the successor to the A700, this new camera features a whopping 24.3 MP APS-C HD CMOS sensor, 12 fps capture rate with full-time autofocus, shoots 1080p videos at 60 fps, has a sensitivity range to 25600 (in multi-shot NR mode) - all in a robust, weather sealed magnesium alloy body.

The a77 also sports a three-way articulating screen that enables the user to manoeuvre it in multiple directions – even allowing the user to take self-portraits. Still images and HD video can also be viewed and arranged on the 3-inch LCD screen.
