The Sony NEX-5N has been released to replace the popular NEX-5 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. With a small body like its predecessor, the two at first glance look very similar in design however some significant changes have occurred with the upgrade.

The new model boasts an increase to a 16.1MP APS HD CMOS Sensor, a wider sensitivity range to 25600, 1080p 60p HD movies in AVCHD format and 10fps continuous shooting. There is also an optional high-resolution electronic viewfinder that can be attached.

The new model sports a touch screen that can be used to navigate through menus and settings. The touch screen interface can also be turned off for those who prefer to use buttons. As with the previous model, the LCD screen is tilt-able. The screen tilts 45 degrees down and 80 degrees up for framing challenging shots.

All the fun features can still be found with Sweep Panorama, 3D Sweep Panorama, Picture Effects and Photo Creativity modes.
