The new Nikon D4 has been designed to captivate the professional market – and as the price dictates, it is not for the faint of heart - we are talking serious sports photographers and photo journalists.
Sporting a new ergonomic design and a robust magnesium alloy exterior, the D4 is built to handle the outdoor environment with moisture and dust seals along with a thermal shield to protect the camera from overheating in the sun.
It boasts some top notch features, including an increase in MP to 16.2 (its predecessor the D3s has 12.1MP), a 51 point autofocus system, 11 fps continuous shooting, 1080p video at 30fps and an optional Wi-Fi transmitter for remote viewing.
A comparison between the Nikon D4, D3s and the Canon EOS-1DX is listed below;
The D4 has an impressive autofocus system and it captures amazing detail. It is an incredibly fast and reliable camera that continues to deliver – even die-hard fans of the popular D3s will be won over with the increased resolution and improvements to its auto ISO mode and video mode.
The D4 is ideal for working professionals such as sports photographers, photo journalists and wildlife photographers.
