Claim your tax on your purchase!
Duty Free 101:
G.S.T (10% of the purchase price) has replaced the duty on all camera and electronic equipment.
This tax can be claimed on all purchases over $300 when you buy within 30 days of travelling.
You can use the product straight away and there is no need to provide your passport at time of purchase.
All tax is claimed after you pass through customs at your point of departure through the TRS booth.
You need to provide your reciept of purchase and show the goods, they do not need to be in the orginal packaging.
