With the hähnel BatteryGrip HN-D40/D40x, power is doubled through multiple power sources. One or two Li-Ion batteries, 6 AA alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries can be used. The output to the camera is regulated by a sophisticated built-in power management system.

The MB-D80 battery pack adds extended shooting capability in an ergonomic design that adds shooting stability. Able to run on either one or two EN-EL3e batteries or six AA-size batteries*, it also features additional command dials and alternative buttons for shutter release and AE-Lock/AF-Lock that make vertical shooting more comfortable. Approx. 2,500 shots with one EN-EL3e and approx. 5,000 shots with two EN-EL3e batteries.

The new Multi-Power Battery Pack MB-D10 enables high-speed shooting at a rate of 8 fps*3, delivering power to the D300/D700 from either a single Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL3e, a single Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL4/EN-EL4a (sold separately), or eight AA-size batteries, (alkaline, Ni-MH, lithium or nickel-manganese). The Multi-Power Battery Pack MB-D10 includes holders for both EN-EL3e and AA-size batteries in the box
